I so need to get an e-reader because with all our nutty children, I never get a chance to go to the library.

I never thought I'd like having an e-reader as much as I do. And a lot of libraries have ways to check out e-books, so as long as you have a library card, you can check out e-books from home. It's really great. :)

I just keep thinking that I could read in bed without a real light on so I wouldn't bother my husband while he tries to sleep.

I've heard nothing but very good things about this book. I'm going to have to give it a chance soon!

You really should! It's definitely worthy of all the hype. :)

Read it! It was an excellent book, although it didn't move me quite like TFioS did, but that's because of what I do for a living, not any deficiency in the book. I am the same age as Park's dad right now, so I found myself really relating to Park's parents more than to Eleanor and Park. I also had to keep reminding myself that the book took place in 1986 when verbal and emotional abuse were not things that anyone talked about, at least not like today, when DHR or CPS could be called for emotional abuse and the threat of violence rather than actual violence which was the criteria in the mid-eighties.

I LOLed during the book, because in 1986 I was a few years younger than Park. I would have been at school with them, but just a younger year, and I LOVED all of the bands they hate. ;)

I'll probably have more thoughts, but that's a start.

I'm glad you liked it. Park's parents are special because most YA novels do not have parents who are active in their children's lives or loving.
