Yeah, it's bigger than is necessary but it'll help with keeping two distinct temperature areas.
So far as I know he's a he. We could have him checked, but I'm not too worried about it. If I had another to compare him to I could make an educated guess, since male snakes tend to be smaller than female snakes.
He is so very sweet. He's acclimating really well. I was able to take him out a little while ago and he took just a minute to be roaming around on my arms sniffing things.
Ooh I love ball pythons. I might get one later, since I've become allergic to furry animals like my rats :(( I still have a tank that I used to keep my lizards in. It's about 4 by 2 feet, so I don't know if it will be big enough for an adult though. My only problem is with feeding it mice/rats... so I haven't decided for sure yet :/
