Really? Really. I need to not look at the pet listings on Craigslist. Because I will end up with a pair of Sugar Gliders, or some Guinea Pigs, or some veiled chameleons.
This reminds me so much of my sister. She owns a horse, a filly, 3 snakes, 2 kittens, a rabbit, birds (I don't know how many...maybe only 3, maybe more), two rats, a chinchilla. Is that all? I can't even remember, it's hard to keep track. She probably got the obsession from when we were kids. We had all kinds of animals. Is that where your interest in animals and reptiles stems from? Were you on a farm? :)
Nope no farm, just a large number of random critters growing up. Through out the years we had cats, a dog, numerous snakes and frogs (of the catch, keep em for a while then release variety), a guinea pig, an iguana, a ferret, tons of baby birds, a parakeet, a crow, a baby squirrel, and more bugs than I could name thanks to my dad's entomology background.
Having tons of random critters seems to run in the family. My mom had all sorts of rodents and horses when she was growing up and the creature history of my dad's youth is pretty amazing. Grandma G likes to tell stories about the reptiles that my dad and his brothers had, including the boa loose in the neighborhood and the monitor lizard loose in the car escapades.

He has wanted one for years and I don't think I can deal just yet.
