Hand-dyes

I finished off the cone of superwash merino last night.

When it was in the pots I was pretty sure I was going to hate it because it was darker than I wanted, but it turned out okay. And besides it's only 72 yards so it being a little off is not too big of a deal.

I still wish the pink was a little lighter, but I know what happened so I can correct it the next time I do this colorway.

Then there's the stuff I did a while ago but never took pictures of.

I like the nice bright colors on this one. It's probably something I'll repeat.

For having so much purple I really like this colorway. I think when I do something similar to this I'll be looking to get the main purple closer to the color that happened where the purple and burgundy meet.

I don't know if I like this one at all. I was playing with some leftover stock and wasn't sure what color I'd end up with for the orangey/brown section and it's just meh. Plus the color across the board looks kinda washed out and faded. Not so pretty.

Last is some recycled wool that started out cream with brown.

I think this turned out pretty nice. There's some darker patches that you can't really see, I think they should look fine knit up.

Now I just need to get some more un-dyed yarn to work with. I have so many color plans it's kinda ridiculous.

Oh and p.s.
Since I am totally in love with wordpress, I have of course started a blog over there for all my hand-dyed goodness. Cycle Fibers
