So far I've finished making Nick's checkerboarded tie, which I hope he loves... and watched the ball drop with my grandma. Grandpa was reading a book at the table, my parents and little brother were in bed and all of my friends were out at parties back in my normal home arena. I should have been with my boyfriend. Or my husband. Or my mistress
