I knew that
actor Patrick McGoohan had died this week but, to my shame, I've never seen a single episode of the show in which he played his most well-known role, The Prisoner. However, I recently rediscovered that fact that he starred (alongside
Karen Dotrice, who then went on to star in Mary Poppins) in one of my all time favorite childhood films

Incidentally, I learned that Karen Dotrice is the daughter of Roy Dotrice, whose performances as Mozart's father in Amadeus and Anton Pamchenko in The Cutting Edge have given me pleasure for many years. :)
