As I walked along, I thought "what a wonderful day to spend a spring morning". I had just come from the Weaving Shed after spending a morning laughing, drinking tea and spinning with the ladies. Hee Hee! I love it when someone speaks of their house. It makes the village so much more real for the others. I LOVE your house. I always knew you would have a walled garden. Who else would think of the tender plants as you do? And that turret...it's SO witchy and warm and wonderful. Your house blends into the land and your gardens, and looks like it came from a fairy tale.
I never can remember the name of the beautiful climbing roses that now nearly reach to the loft area, but the scent is amazing. Thanks for turning your dream into reality.

I'm sure it is some form of Rugosa rose climber. I pick the petals for so many things...rose honey,potpourri and to make rose beads. Actually, I've wanted this house since I read the Mary Stewart Merlin series (The Hollow Hills, The Crystal Cave, The Last Enchantment) I fashioned it after the house Merlin had built after his hey day with King Arthur. I think I'll go spin some more this evening...
