I am very relieved that people have, for the most part, realized that being the CEO of an Internet company during the dot com boom is not de facto an indication of competence.
The thing is, by all accounts Meg Whitman is a smart person. Maybe after you're a billionaire, your sense of what the little people want in a governor gets a bit skewed. Or maybe she just believed a little too much of her own bullshit.
