Once Upon a Time

I watched the pilot of "Once Upon a Time" last night and liked it a lot -- in fact, I only meant to watch the first 15 minutes or so but got sucked in and watched the whole thing. Really enjoyed all the characters and wasn't bored for a single moment. Also, Emma Caulfield will be guesting later in the season. Anyone else see it? What did you think?

I think Snow could go either way -- but right now I see her as one of those outwardly too-sweet characters with a steel core. I'm very hopeful; I haven't seen a pilot I liked this much in a long, long time.

I thought the same thing, so I'm hopeful about Snow. Charming wouldn't have made the dangerous bargain with Rumpelstiltskin, and she went all "Put the baby in the wardrobe already!" on him. I read the bird thing as making fun of Disney and snickered through it.

I was surprised to find I liked it.

Yes, I'm replying to something you wrote a jillion years ago. This is my first time looking at your journal. (here from herself_nyc)

I love OUAT. I find it audacious, well-acted, well-written. I have more and less fave characters, but that's life on TV. The way they seamlessly balance the two universes amazes me.

And Robert Carlyle? Perfect. Per. Fect.

ETA: Are you still watching? (If yes, I'm one ep behind, please don't spoil me.)

Thanks for stopping by! I post so infrequently that I always notice when someone new comments.

Yes, I'm still watching. The last episode I watched was the one featuring Robert Carlyle (I didn't know his name before you mentioned it here) and he was amazing. It wasn't the greatest episode -- the Storybrooke sections didn't hold my interest -- but the fairy tale backstory part was really good.

I think Emma Caulfield shows up this weekend?
