Crappity

My father-in-law's had a stroke, and they're not sure whether he's going to make it through the night. My husband is looking at plane tickets to fly back east tomorrow. Not sure what I'll do -- I'd love to be there for him and my MIL, but I can't just take off and leave the kids and the critters. Not to mention that I'm still recovering from foot ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear it.

Sending many many good thoughts. (And for foot recovery, too. I have many problems in that area, so I know what it's like dealing with the recovery bit.)

Thanks! My feet are recovering nicely, and the doctor did say I could fly if necessary, but he warned me that flying too soon after surgery does put me at elevated risk of a blood clot. Not what one's spouse wants to hear when his own father has just had a blood clot followed by a stroke. :-p
