This week our baby chickens arrived. I would love to post pictures but my camera is broken. I would really love to post the picture of claudia sitting on top of the brooder trying to figure out how to get in to the 4 day old chicks

Hey, pullets are cute in their own way. Gawky, with extra awk.
And I didn't know you were going to get yardbirds! I'm hoping we'll be able to have chickens whenever we get a house -- haven't looked up the laws because I still have no idea what part of town I want to live in. Does the city allow roosters? Will you keep them, even if it does? Do you know what you're going to do with your hens when they stop laying? I am worried I'll view them as pets.
(Oh, in other filthy hippie news, I'm starting a worm composter today!)
Also, if the spruce tip jelly is successful, pleasepleaseplease send me a little bit! Mmm, gin.
