I must confess that I'd forgotten about this tale of the Ingleton's of Cheverley Chase, and the saga of who is to inherit that Estate when their grandfather dies. The main storyline is mainly in the background. But the tale of how 'The Young Squire' Everard is first disinherited by his cousin Carmel, the 'Princess' of the title (although she is not really a Princess, just called that by young relatives and friends), and then comes back into his Inheritance due to Carmel's finding a hidden Will in a Secret Drawer of a Writing Desk. Although it's never said explicitly, you can see Carmel returning to Cheverley Chase a few years after the end of the story. Although what as, I'm not sure as what seems like a budding Romance between Everard and Carmel would surely not be allowed due to their close kinship...
Next will be either Anne of the Island or Pride and Prejudice.
