New Book Challenge 2008 - 18/52 - A Little Princess
Another new book finished. and the list is here.
Although I did enjoy this book, I don't think I found it quite as satisfying a read as The Secret Garden. I'm not sure whether this is because Mistress Mary seems a much more realistic child than the super-good Sara, who doesn't seem to possess a temper. This is odd because I'm probably more like Sara than I am Mary (I suspect Sara does have a temper - but it comes out in tears rather than as a typical temper tantrum). But the rest of the characters are lovely and you can't help but smile when Sara wakes after the first secret visit of Ram Dass.
Not sure what will be next.
