here Now, although I've read this title before I have no doubts about including it in this list, for one there's been several new 'books' (some short stories and Schott's Miscellany that I haven't included, and secondly, this edition is vastly different to the version I read many years ago.
The book I read in my youth was the edition edited by Otto Frank, Anne's Father, and looking back on that in light of the more complete edition, I can't help but wonder if Pim, as Anne refers to him (and that caused a few confusing moments when I wasn't paying full attention!) realised how much his daughter had matured during those two years spent in the Secret Annexe. Reading of Anne's growing awareness about herself, her sexuality and the people around her is so poignant, and I can only hope that this fuller edition of the book is more like the book that she would have published herself, had she lived
Not sure what's next - there's the Kate Mosse still to start, but probably not 'til the weekend.
