CSI 9.16 Post-Epi notes [ooc]

Let's start off with the scene opener. What are they trying to do here? Raymond Langston is on the stand, testifying in a murder trial of a woman who he found rolled into a piece of carpet. A woman who was having an affair with the Congressman. I know the man is an MD specializing in Forensic Pathology but please don't start painting him as the next Gil Grissom. The way the courtroom scene was set up and the way Langston gave his answers was very Grissom-y. Right from the first scene, you could tell this was CBS's way of soothing the loss of Grissom leaving (and only four episodes ago!) by shoving Raymond Langston down our throats in a rather aggressive manner.

He isn't Gil. He will never BE Gil so, STOP IT!!

Cath looked good in her new role as night shift supervisor, but she wasn't as active in this case as I would've liked her to have been.

Nicky, let me count the ways I adore thee. The scene where you dig the bullet out of Humphrie's skull made me have a moment of EWSQUEE because I'm a nerd. You win the Crown of Pwn for tonight. <33

Greggo! I can haz ur babehs? You get more adorable with each episode. No Riley for you. She's EVEL!

Chief complaint of the night: You had Nick in the ballistics lab with NO BOBBY?!! *GASP* Shame CBS, shame.

All in all, good episode, but with any element of complicated it would have been nice to be a bit more organized with it. Less Langston next time, more Cath, Nick and Greg. And for God's sake, give Bobby something to work on.
