*applause*

I was never a GL person, but its end this week is indeed the end of a significant part of entertainment history. And it makes a person wonder how long the rest of the genre will remain on the air, given the current state of things.

Thanks. It's upsetting and then I realized how few soap viewers I know on LJ.

I don't think NBC will have any soaps within 3 years. I think Y&R and B&B are going to be the last holdouts. And I love soaps, I do not want to lose them, but it's really hard to be a fan now.

Wow. Nicely put. I agree on pretty much every level. I've not watched a soap for years because of all the thing you've mentioned, and I will tell anyone who will listen that the biggest problem with the genre is that they stopped writing for women... but it still makes me sad when another one goes off the air. I was an AW and Santa Barbara fan, so I've had shows I loved go... and I did watch GL for a little while, years ago. So when I heard it was going, I thought of Josh and Reva and Phillip and Harley and all those people. It does feel like a loss, but you put it in words I didn't entirely have.

Patrick Swayze was the first man i ever found attractive...i was 6. and didn't understand why i liked the scene where he was dancing with his shirt off so much. good news though, i understand now.

my foot hurts from where the revolving door tried to trap it. shoot.

you should see if you can get damages for your injured foot.

Swayze was amazing. good that you understand at this age.
