HELP!

Keelay (our puppy), is peeing red stuff..... Heidi insists that it's not blood, but I'm not too sure....

any ideas? I'm extremely worried.

Any time an animal is peeing an odd color, one should take them to a vet. It could be something like crystals in the urine....

TAKE THE PUPPY TO A VET!! It is very likely a urinary infection (and that color is blood), but whatever it is, s/he needs to be treated (if your urine were red, would you just ignore it, or would you wonder about the cause?)! Don't delay it any longer than you absolutely have to, and try to take a sample of the urine along with you for the vet to see.

I was thinking that as well... It just started last night so we weren't sure if it was something she ate or what.

My suggestion? Take him to the vet before it gets really bad. Even if it's nothing, better safe than sorry. :-)

I'm not saying it's definitely not, but since everyone else is yelling "go to the vet," I'll point this out. Sometimes animals have oddly colored urine. I remember it freaking me out a lot when I noticed that one of our bunnies did. I honestly forget the word for that, but still.
If it persists, or happens again or whatever, it wouldn't be a bad idea to ask a vet, but like I said. It's not always something.
