posting a less-detailed entry to the public about big steps in my life:

in the next 6 months I:

am moving out of Houston
am getting married
am going on a honeymoon to probably Greece
am moving to the Greenbelt/DC/Baltimore area

so. excited.

I don't think I've ever been moved so much by a presidential speech..save for Bill Clinton.  Obama is captivating, intelligent, and seems to not be sugar coating the nation's problems.  and it was awesome that yo yo ma, itzhak pearlman, etc were broadcast across the nation like that.

Here's to 2009, the best year yet!

so tomorrow i start teaching 20 hours a week. it doesn't sound like much, but it is. i'm going to have to become a morning person. all my teaching is in the afternoons/evenings so i won't get to practice at night anymore. hoooraaaay. or work out at night. here's to 8:30 a.m. work-out classes ( Read more... )

so, yesterday gary and I had our 8 month anniversary.  he "worked from home" and we went to breakfast klub for a nice brunch.  I had french toast which was AWESOME.  then, we just sat around until it was game night time.  his department hosts a game night at rice every so often, so he went and brought his wii so that people could play rock band.  ( Read more... )

I just got done writing a mother entry about this to myself.  bottom line is, I live in a 700-something square foot apartment. it is sort of small but it's spacious enough for everyone.  for a while, a single guy lived above me and yes, he made a great deal of noise every time he got up, but it only kept me up a short amount of time and with ( Read more... )
