Another Awesome Movie!

ziqueenmab and I saw The Prestige last night. It is a seriously wicked movie; we both left the theatre blown away, and are wondering if we can survive not seeing it again until it comes out on DVD.

I'd like to have an actual conversation on this movie at some point, as I enjoyed it so very much, but after I saw it, I called a friend who had scene it and during our discussion, he suggested that The Real Transported man is just the canary trick on a larger, creepier scale. Just thought I'd throw that out.

That was actually the realization that ziqueenmab and I had on the way home from seeing it. I was thinking about how devastated the surviving Borden twin was with his other half gone, and in that vein remarked, "But what about his brother???"

Then we both went, "OH NO." It was awesome.

In general, the movie was seriously creepy in the level of disregard for life of all kinds. What I want to know, though, is how it was decided which one of the brothers would die...
