I'm not going to be hiring movers in the forseeable future, but what's a good tip? I know how to tip bartenders, waiters/esses, wranglers, and barbers, but not movers... Enlighten me?
Excellent question. A good rule of thumb is $5.00 per hour per man. That's what I would call, on an average day, a good tip. Less is okay if it's super-easy, or you're on a fixed income, like retirees or couples just starting out together. More is awesome, too. For best results, watch your movers for the first half of the day, then give them some money before lunch. Tell them more will appear at the end of the day if they can hustle. I promise you, it will reduce the time on the bill and probably any materials costs you might accrue, as well.
I apologize that there are people still on my planet like that.
If it helps, your anecdote totally qualifies as "no fiction is as good as reality". I mean, wow, what else could you add to make that more over-the-top?
...and yet, if you went over to her SUV, caved in the window with her own vase and strangled her with a packing strap...somehow, YOU'd be wrong. there's no justice, brother. Stay as cool as you can today.

Packing strap? I mean, really. And aggravated by assault with a vase? Fry him for that.
That said, I'm sure the jury would acquit if the SUV were run over by the truck, and her skull bashed in with the pr0n.
