I didn't get the job.
That sucks.
Oh well, a nice guy with a baby on the way DID get the job, and I know he'll do very well at it, so that's okay.

I am despairing at the moment. I'm not sure why. It's not the job, or at least not completely.

I totally sympathize. Torilgrey has been in that position a lot at the beginning of the school year when he was hunting for a teacher position. It's always hard when something comes along and you think 'this time it'll happen' and it doesn't. But as stated above- other opportunities will arise. I hope one finds you soon.
