Redneck Dumping Pit

Feb 18, 2008 01:01

Today I loaded a backpack full of toy guns and ammunition and hiked out into the wilds of Beverly. A couple of buddies and I went to the local illegal dump site in the woods, where we set up aluminum cans and tested the airsoft arsenal out. We shot about 600 rounds of ammunition and I learned quite a bit.( Shootin' Irons: )

WOOT! good intel. Thanks. I got my guns the other day. The sig replica is semi-auto only and functions smoothly. I haven't checked it out outdoors at long ranges yet, but I suspect it'll be like your pistosls. It's plastic, battery powered, and cost 8.50 from Hobbytron. The sleek looking James Bond gun started okay, but then had an inoperable feed jam and broke. 8 bucks, also, and a waste. Ah well. The khaki and black tactical pump shotgun for 11 bucks is a gem. decent accuracy, probably about 225 fps velocity, and fun to shoot. I got the three guns, including shipping, for under 40 bucks. with one busted, it's still a decent deal, so thanks for the Hobbytron link. I'll consider a rifle or smg to complement the arsenal before game time. Any idea on a time frame? Lemme know when you're gonna shoot again, or playtest. or whatever. GUNS!!! RAAARRGGHH!

Will they take the gun back since it broke so soon after you bought it?

maybe, but the cost of shipping makes it kinda pointless. When all is said and done, I'd pay another 5 bucks to get a 9 dollar gun replaced. And the break is partly my fault. I tried to take it apart and put it back together. Real guns, I know. But electronic toys? What was I thinking?
