Although really, this isn't terribly surprising: Karl Rove is a big fan of the Big Lie, so actually, now is when I'd expect him to really ratchet up that machine, because now the legacy's at stake. If his version of history gets accepted, then he's golden.
And in certain circles, that's pretty much assured.
History is written by the ones left standing. If you make sure that Rove and the rest of that crowd are not the ones left writing history in the end, they lose. Their "legacy" is by no means assured even in circles where they are popular now or were popular.
I'd think Rove would be keeping his head down and his mouth shut. If not for the current need for bipartisanship and healing the gaps in our political fabric, I think alot of people would be calling for more in depth investigations into the Plame thing. He's got alot of nerve saying that he was exonerated, just because they came up with a patsy to take the fall for him and Darth Cheney. My personal hope is that after the inauguration, maybe Dick will get liquored up and take Karl on his next hunting trip.
