If you do the "right thing", but for the wrong reasons, does it still make it the right thing?

Sure, if it's you doing the "right thing". If it's someone else doing it to you, its very wrong.

p.s. if it's you, you're going to hell anyway, so who cares if it's the right thing? lol

Yeah...
It doesn't seem like the right thing for wrong reason would work out to the right thing.

If math has taught us anything, it's that a negative X a positive always equals a negative.
BUT, math also says the a negative X a negative always equals a positive.

So, maybe doing the wrong thing for the wrong reason would work out better in my favor.

The "Right Thing" is a completely objective term. What is right for one person, may not be right for another.

So if it feels right, do it.
