How do I customize the list of people who can read my entries? I know I could put my entries friends-only so that only the people on my friends list could read them, but what if I want to have an entry that certain people on my friends list can't read? I wouldn't want them off my friends list or anything, either. Just kind of wondering, maybe it ( Read more... )

What you want to use are called friends groups. Exactly how you do it will depend on how you post to livejournal. If you're doing it from the web interface, you can edit your friends groups here:
http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml
(click 'Add' to create a first group)

Then, when you update, you select Custom security level, and you can pick and choose which friends groups can view your post. You have to update in full mode, though, which you can get to here:

So, what that says is to go here: http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml

Make a new group, call it whatever you want, and put people in it.

Then, when posting an entry (making sure you clicked "..." to get full mode), you can pick "custom" as the security level, and then select which friend group(s) you want to be able to read it.

Well, I'd like to think you did at least. Then hopefully someone's thinking of me?

I hope all is well with you.

Gosh damn, the subject of that response scared me, Maddy. It's like in all fucking caps and I'm thinking "HOLY SHIT! SOMEONE'S GOING TO GET ME!" and then it's like, oh, Maddy, heheh. :-) I love you!!
