So I got some strings (viola strings) in the mail today, and they each come wound up in a circle (maybe about 3-4 inches in diameter) and stuck in a little envelope.  To ship them, they gather up the little envelopes and put them between two pieces of cardboard with a bit of tape so that they don't get gunked up in the mail.  And I get these ( Read more... )

I would totally save the cardboard too. Except I would never actually do anything with it; I'd just tell myself I was going to. So go you!

Sometimes I save cardboard, but I never do anything creative. (Ever.) I do sometimes turn them into practical, ugly doodads, like a camera USB cable/phone charger holder.

I also save bubble wrap. I have 3 huge rolls next to my bed. I am saving them either for a packjob (which is probable) or for giving to people, because bubble wrap is amazing.

I'm a pack-rat. I save anything and everything that could be used for something else, but then I never do anything with them. So in the end, I have a big pile of crap built up somewhere.

I've always loved your Valentine Day cards.

As for being a pack-rat, I've save every one of them. Including all of your letters. Even little sticky notes that people leave behind.
