Topic 46 - What does marriage mean to you?

When I was a tot, I would dream of gettin’ married. Findin’ me a love, settlin’ down, knockin’ out a few rugrats for me mum’s sake - she always wanted that. Things changed though, drastically as you can see. I found my lady love, but marriage? Not so much for us. We have somethin’ different than what others perceive as ‘normal.’ Vampire, Slayer … no signs of actually startin’ a family besides that Ralphie mutt, but it’s nice. It’s … our normal. I know I’ll never leave her, I know that I’ll love ‘er forever. Don’t much need a piece of paper tellin’ me that when I know it enough already inside me heart. For others though, if they want to get married, go for it. I have nothin’ against it, really. It’s just a day for the chit to get all dressed up and for family members to get pissed out of their minds and dance like fools. Then in a few months years, they get a divorce. So, in a way, I suppose it’s not worth it, on the other … go for it. I don’t give a bloody fuck to be honest.
