I just finished watching Sex: The Annabel Chong Story.

It's a slightly bizarre pastiche of scenes from her life - her trips around the world, up-close interviews in her L.A. home, commentaries by porn directors, her family home in Singapore, footage from the original porn film.

actually when i watched it, it was transparently obvious to me that all of grace quek's intellectualisation of her decision to go into porn and do the world's biggest gangbang was empty. like she seemed to sort of rattle all this feminist gender switch stuff off like she had learned it by heart, with the same blank expression on her face; i don't even think she believed it herself. i think that she is/was just a pretty screwed up person. when she was in humanz her freaky christian friends like, attempted to exorcise her and apparently it got pretty violent. that kind of thing can traumatise, and then there's the gang rape which certainly couldn't have helped anything. and... i think there's no question as to who was 'utilizing' who. she never received the money for doing the gangbang! and was forced to like, bargain for doing more videos and stuff... yeah. documentary was pretty depressing for me, especially the bit where her mother finds out, god
