Running.
Eyes sweeping over the dead.
Finding her, a mess of twisted metal and flesh.
Picking her up and running.
Her screaming.
I’m screaming.
Blood everywhere.
So much blood…
Darkness.
“Ianto! Ianto, wake up!”
I was shaken awake.
“You were screaming. Was it another nightmare?”
Blue eyes, soft with worry, looked me over.
“Yeah,” I whispered shakily, “About Canary Warf. There was blood everywhere… Everyone was dead except for me and Lisa… I was so scared…”
Warm, strong arms held me close to him, pulling the blankets tighter around us.
“Ianto… I promise that will never happen to you again.”
