I don't understand what people see in Captain John. He's not sexy. He's not sane. He went to murder rehab, for fuck's sake. Just because he and Jack used to have a thing doesn't automatically make him amazing.
What's with all the random Jack / John / Ianto fanfics I keep seeing? Uh, am I the only one who noticed that Ianto doesn't like John during the course of the few episodes he's even in? Let me show you. First off, John injures the team, including Jack. That's a big no-no. Do you guys see whenever Jack gets killed that Ianto always looks upset? Just because John calls Ianto "eye candy" doesn't change that fact. Second, does anyone else see the look on Ianto's face whenever John goes anywhere even near Jack? Since when is the "I'm going to kill you if you lay a finger on him" look mean that the three of them are going to get in some freaky three-way? I'm fine with some Jack / John / Ianto fics, like the ones where Ianto and Jack kind of rape John for almost killing everyone, but that's it.
Also, why do writers just love to kill / write-off everyone's favorite characters? I knew from the start that Ianto was going to get killed off in Children Of Earth, but come on. Why Ianto and not Gwen? Don't start to say that I don't like Gwen, because I actually do like her. It's just that I find that half of the problems that happened in Torchwood seemed to be her fault and she never got too roughed up. I really liked her and Rhys together, but sometimes I just didn't think Gwen deserved him. That relationship also let Janto thrive and never let Gwack become canon. *shot* Children Of Earth seemed to end too abruptly and left too many things out in the open unresolved. Plus, I really wanted to see what Gwen would name her baby. I'm thinking Jack Ianto Williams-Cooper? :3
Another thing that bugs me: The whole "Owen was dead, but not really dead, but he's still not alive" thing. I mean, come on. Seriously?
