Thank you! most of the time, when i write, it comes out as over dramatic b.s.. I'm definetly seeing things in a new light, and trying to hold onto that perception i have of myself. I blame the feminist literature I've been reading. :p
You know what's funny: I was playing over the Penelope/ Odysseus thing in my head yesterday. It's funny how you brought that up. Virginia Woolf just doesn't hit people sometimes. Neither does sylvia plath. And I love them. Love them love them love them. Some writers styling just throws people off. And hey, you don't have to be a man! Love is love is love. There is something about women like us ( and I've seen it happen so often ) that makes men freak out. Is it the fear of solid commitment, or the idea of building something more than what is the now? I'm not sure anymore. But I know I've watched way too many beautiful deep souled women who want nothing more than a family, and love get overlooked, or mistreated, left, or scarred deeply in some way. I'm not sure why this happens and I very seriously think I'm going to spend time researching it.
Sylvia and I used to get long cups of coffee and stay awake until the wee hours searching for mushrooms and validation that we were somehow significant, would that she had planned her escape a little better and maybe she could have been a guiding light for those of us left behind in the wake
