Nicely done. It’s good to see them all unwind a bit with that snowball fight. :)

Favorite lines:

Sam’s out for the count beside him, covered in a thick blanket and he’s snoring softly. John and Dean are sitting on the other couch. John has his feet on the coffee table, soles bare to catch the heat of the crackling fire in the fire place. Next to him Dean is slowly but surely nodding off. Outside more snow is silently falling.

I love this image. *squishes the sleepy/sleeping boys*

John is looking down at Dean and he pulls a blanket over his seventeen year old son. Dean mumbles something under his breath, but doesn’t wake up.

Snowball fight! *adores* I could so see this, even to smelling wet clothes and damp hair! Hee, you're never too old for snow fun. :-)

And later? You just know Jim and John had to've had just this conversation. Nice little piece, thoughtful and warming, even if we know John didn't take Jim's advice.

Yeah, this conversation had to have come up sometime, because everyone on the outside could have seen what the hunting was doing to the boys and to the Winchesters as a family. Too bad John's such a stubborn idiot.

But on the other side if he'd realized his mistakes sooner we wouldn't have had Dean and Sam the way they are now. LOL!
