It's awful twific that is now being pushed as real literature. UGH ON SO MANY LEVELS!

See. Here's the thing that scares me. You say "twific" and the only thing I can come up with is "twilight". PLEASE tell me that's not true.

Ugh, I think I need a shower.

No, it was originally an all-human Twific that the author changed the names around on to get published.

bit insulting to those of us who write halfway decent porn, isn't it. (And yours is way more than halfway decent!)

Well, I don't really know if that's true.

I write fairly average porn. The main difference being I don't ask people to pay for it.

I had heard bad things about 50 Shades, but figured if it was so popular it couldn't be THAT bad, right? Ugh, how wrong I was. (I will never learn)

I'd disagree about it being average, really. What I've read of your writing has a real sensuality to it, and you tend to take unusual perspectives on things that makes what might otherwise be prosaic things quite erotic. And frankly, I know my porn is above average, and yours is way better than mine, so ...

... and perhaps you are redefining average after reading 50 Shades ... which, sadly, is about as much porn as a lot of women have been exposed to. I've been posting that pic all over facebook to try and help people get a clue ...

I couldn't bring myself to read it. In either form. And this is from someone who did read the Twi series because she ran out of other stuff to read on her computer the summer she was pregnant and physically restricted. I read through it embarrassingly fast, no challenge at all. And what I got from it was a desire to do a crossover and bring in Buffy. To stake Edward's ass.

I haven't yet read it. I say yet like I ever will- I won't. Although I was in a sex shop the other day and this girl came in with her boyfriend to buy some stuff and brought the book in with her as a guide, I suppose? After they left the girl behind the counter and I were talking. She said sales have gone up a ton since this book came out- both of vibrators and various other bdsm equipment. The girl said "I'm glad people are getting in to it and talking about it and seeing it's not so taboo anymore but to me none of that stuff is kinky, so it's just a nice little romance story."

Holly Madison, Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend has been reading it and is posting her thoughts on Twitter. Thought #1- my biggest preoccupation is how Anastasia eats pancakes, eggs and bacon all the time. Thought #2- how does a college student nearing graduation not have an email address?
