Well I guess knowing you I can understand why you were MIA during Valentines Day. I do hope you liked the present I gave you. I will be returning to Tokyo here shortly. I really enjoy the factory and spending time with everyone but I miss my friends and job.
Women love chocolate. We always have since it gives us that wonderful sensation that you know about that we love. I think it is because to date someone who can get them chocolate whenever they want is every woman's dream especially dating someone who has his own chocolate factory. And we all know that your chocolate is matched by no one.
I suppose you're right and there's no denying I have perfected chocolate. Although from what you said, I have concluded that I would be a catch. I don't see how. I'm too weird but most standards. Ha-ha!
*blushes as she says this* You have other qualities that make you a catch besides your chocolate. I do not know why any woman would want to date you just because you make chocolate. Maybe you are a little strange but.....*shrugs* normalcy is overrated anyway if you ask me.
Like? *he raises his eyebrows curiously* I'm not sure why. Hey! You're a girl. Maybe you can tell me why. If it's something I can fix I can do that, right?
Chocolatiers are doomed to be forever adored by women. It's in our genetic code to love chocolate or something.
Valentines day is kinda over-hyped and all. Although I wish I'd had somewhere to go. Not because it was Valentines day though. Just because I don't like being alone on ANY given day. *Grin*
You know, if I knew you'd be hiding away on V-day I probaly would have sent you one of those cheesy singing teligrams. What with Cole darting all over the place so I can't send one his way I wanted to do it to someone. *Sigh* Oh well.
Valentine's Day is supposed to be a celebration of showing one's feelings for another. It's based off of the concept of St. Valentine when he wanted to have people express their feelings toward one another in a caring and giving way.
It is said that St. Valentine himself was once a prisoner for defying the laws of Emperor Claudius II and married many young lovers in secret and was killed for his actions behind the emperor's back in order to save the single men from becoming soldiers during a war that broke out between the Romans and the Catholics in my world around 270 A.D.
So in honor of this man, the traditions carry on which is why the color red is depicted for the holiday to signify the blood he spilled to save lives.
That seems kind of... normal. I don't get why this one man, when one of many who have done similar acts, is the one venerated. Why is it that love across time is summed up in just this one day?
I will admit that I find this day rather morbid to a large degree and I must also say that this day isn't supposed to be celebrated as it has been. It's highly misrepresented, in my opinion. We should honor the man, celebrate the accomplishment and remember the day but not in such a way that offers up candy instead of cards.
I must digress that the day is a big money maker for me but in all honesty, I don't like the idea.

Someone around here ordered that benderberry stuff? Damn, that's a fun time up and coming, I'm sure.
And Chocolate's sexy to chicks. I don't get it either. Put a bar next to them, and they're all funny and nervous...
