Landlord says I didn’t pay rent for February or March. 
I sent money orders and have the receipts. They were never cashed (and Western Union won’t refund my money for 90 days.) I’ve lived here for two years and, through major illnesses and fire and reconstruction, I have never even been

That REALLY sucks. Do you have anything on paper to back up anything? An old e-mail, even?

What happens if you don't move out but start the law suit?

constable is here as we speak moving the rest of my belongings to the street. So, not moving out isn't even an option. Louisiana and its back-ass-wards Napoleanic code ...

If there's one thing I learned from being on the other side of this situation, having dealt with the World's Worst Tenant two years ago, it's the laws of eviction, which are admittedly in favor of landowners, but there is still some protocol to follow which sounds missing from your scenario

Not true, at least according to the judge behind the desk in the court I was in Tuesday. I was given a 5 day notice, writen by the court, the 1st step. Then I was given a court date. That was Tuesday. I thought that my money order receipts were all I needed to prove I paid (or attempted to pay) rent. Not so (see above.) I was ordered by the judge to be out within 24 hours. I was actually given about 20 hours extra before the constable arrived.
Maybe the landlord paid some 'incentive.' That doesn't help me any, though.
