I know. I'm sad.

After the debacle of failing to find my MOT certificate last week, the garage gave me a new certificate which runs from the expiry date of the old one anyway. Amazing what you can do with these electronic centralized systems, ain't it? (Turns out I'd got until tommorrow ( Read more... )

'Course, takeaway menus do occasionally change -- the prices do, at least. Still a good idea, though ;)

Sundays seem to be the only time I ever buy anything from PC World.

Even better: I can now scan the replacement menu, and simply delete the old one. No more out of date menus cluttering up the house!

Woo! I might even end up ordering from somewhere other than Domino's!

Yes, you could well be right.

I did, at one point (quite possibly connected with moving) collect and file all my bills, and bank statements. When my initial mortgage tie in period expired, I went into Bradford & Bingley to look for a better deal, and the woman asked for "my last two years bank statements". I pulled the last seven out of my bag, and handed her the end section (I'm not sure I ever actually got them back). She almost fell off her seat in shock ( ... )

But - potentially - you aren't the only user. If you order in for e.g. games sessions or regular visits of Certain People, it's worth noting what they like too. (I have an idea of what orders work for Arkham Horror sessions here, for instance, or Parental Visits, or Small Fussy Boys.)

Strange, isn't it: I want to organise the stuff I have to organise (bills, statements, etc). As a side issue, I might as well organise stuff I don't need to organise (menus).

Which one can we see more added benefit to doing? :)

And narenek isn't that fussy!

Veggie spring rolls and a mushroom chow mein for me please :)

Before gaspodex and I got together, all my menus were held firmly on the fridge door by magnets. When a new one came along, I reuse the magnet and throw the old one away, though I'd sometimes copy the more relevant annotations.

Um. While you were writing this, I was in a meeting discussing Similar Issues, such as "But what if the building containing our filing cabinets burns down?" Consider yourself warned...

This particular process has been fine tuned by the fact that I've spent the last 3 months attending presentations on behalf of work to buy us a system. There are slightly different criteria for work: notably cost, and infrastructure. It's all got to be free, and I'm not going to the lengths of installing Oracle just to do this.

Anyway, more details about the work stuff emailed to you.
