Our leave year finishes at the end of August. So 3 months from now.

I can carry 5 days over. I currently have 20.

So I need to use 15 days leave in the next 3 months.

You may now make suggestions on where I should go. I don't promise to pay attention, but you might vicariously enjoy sending me to strange places :)

Can def recommend most places I've been on hols. Peru, NZ, Egypt and Canada appear to make most people think "Wow, what an exciting holiday, I am so jealous". Unlike "A week doing an astronomy course in Mallorca followed by a night out in Magaluf" which, er, doesn't generally make people jealous.

My default response at the moment is "Legoland", which may not be very helpful...

Do you do well with hot weather?

Take off every Friday for the next 3 months and work a 4 day week!

Failing that, you never struck me as a hot weather person, so Canada, Alaska, Russia?

Actually - where would YOU like to go the most in the world? Just work that out, and go there! :)

Canada for the World Science Fiction convention?

Folk Festivals
The Big Session in Leicester
Fairport Convention's Cropredy Festival
Ely Folk Festival
(admittedly they are mostly weekend festivals but you can use extra days to explore around)

Do a tour of the Scottish Islands or drive around the coast of Ireland (north and south)

Hire a campervan and do northern Europe!

Hire a convertible and do Route 66 in the US (or the Pacific Coast Highway!)

Scubadiving on the Great Barrier Reef.

Lots of options ... and yes, Peru to see Machu Pichu would be near the top of my list!

Come to Worldcon (Montreal in August)! It's conveniently within your holiday year end and lots of us are going too. Or come to Aylesbury and housesit while *we* are at Worldcon...
