Just out of curiosity, is this now going to be an all-fandoms thing, or are you just going to be adding certain ones (and if so, which ones)?

It's not all fandoms. We don't know which ones we'll add because we're waiting for feedback from y'all to see what you want. And the lineup will change from year to year for sure. SPN will always be a part of wincon, but our focus is switching from the source to the fangirl. We want to celebrate you guys and all the ways you get your fandom on.

Yay, registering right now for next year!

Just arrived back home and wow-ed my non-fannish roommates with the raffle prize fan painting and the Apocalypse Survival Kit. (That and dancing to "I'm on a boat.) They think Wincon is the coolest thing ever.

We're looking at East Coast first, but nothing is set yet. I haven't even picked up a phone to call a single hotel.

East coast would be awesome. I was kind of crossing fingers hoping for that. :) It would make it easier for me to afford to travel. Let me know if I can help any. I'm in Raleigh-Durham, NC. There's not a lot of things to see here, ie. historical stuff and whatnot, but there are a ton of great hotels, restaurants/bars & pubs, etc. around and a good airport.

The husband also reminds me that we have an IMAX theater and a brand new performing arts theater downtown. :)
