Xmas Cards

Hey guys. So things are on/off with me, lately. I just haven't been keeping up with lj as much as I did. If I missed any especially important posts, then I'm REALLY SORRY.

I did send some cards out, but only 7

sweet_lil_rach, dhfreak, charlie_jae & nelliewu. I hope you guys all got them in good time for Chrismas! As for everyone else I sent, you should definately have them by now?

Woot to Icons! So...I just got Windows 7 in the mail. The free upgrade came with my new laptop...I've been debating whether or not to just leave Vista...

Is this a yay or nay for Windows 7? LOL

Personally. I'm gonna say yay.

It's a lot smoother and faster, and it's speed with opening and closing big programs like Photoshop and Vegas are a lot better than Vista.

One of the many things that annoyed me about Vista was all the questions it would ask. Such as wether to open something or not, or to approve every single thing. That bugged the hell out of me.

This one does still ask, but not half as much. And once you allow something once, that's it. Or atleast it has been for me so far.

I've had my new laptop since Thursday.

It's been ages, hasn't it?

I've been ill on/off again, then we've had so much running around to do for Christmas and stuff. .Thankfully i only have about 3 or 4 more gifts to wrap and i should be done.

I was a bit dissapointed it was only 2 episodes. I would've loved to see more happen. But then the ending with Hatter and Alice at her apartment, was absolutely perfect.

I rewatched that one scene like 20 times!

I use Sony Vegas Pro 9 with Windows 7, and haven't discovered any problems yet - exactly what's going wrong with yours?

I mostly use AVI format clips and i'm getting squat video.

You haven't had that problem?

What version of 7 are you using?

I'm using the full version of Windows 7. I just got this laptop, so I immediately installed Vegas (at that point, the avi clips didn't work). Then I installed the K-Lite codec pack (I think the only other codec I have is the divx codec), and it worked perfectly.

It might be a conflict of codecs for you - I remember on my mom's computer that had Windows Vista, I had Vegas 9, the K-Lite codec pack, and lots of other codecs (X-Vid pack, etc etc) - and the avi files sometimes didn't load video.

So if you have the K-Lite codec pack already and it still isn't working, maybe uninstall some other codecs and try that installing just that one?

I followed your advice to the letter. Uninstalled ALL my codecs, which did worry me a bit, but then i followed something on the codec site about installing 32+64 versions and it seems it cleared it up! YAY!

My next vid is SO totally dedicated to you, hun! LOL!
