What do you believe in?Funny you should ask this. Its something I've been thinking about more and more over the last few weeks. A friend of mine is helping me get through what, for lack of a better phrase is a crisis of faith. I don't have a religion, per se, so much as a belief system; no big sins or saintly acts, if that's what ( Read more... )

I dug it. I might steal it when my manifesto "More Rock, Less Talk" doesn't meet the minimum word level.

I believe that faeries exist, and they are not nice.

Well not all are that way. Some are tollerant of humans and some actually like us. One thing I tell others who wish to work with them is develop a relationship and for the sake of the Gods, know who you are calling upon. They work with you not for you.

And forgive me - I see you are on several of my friends lists besides mine - but I don't know who you are. Can you please tell me?

I would be TJ, at least last I'd checked. ;)

So far as the Fae go, yes I've found tolerance, curiosity and friendliness (for lack of a better term), but on the whole they're just alien and can't really be interpreted to have the same motivations or 'emotions' that tend to guide the humans. Even those of the Seelie court can't be said to be 'nice' or 'kind' so much as more willing to communicate without trying to eat your face. One of the best statements I've come across that comes to mind is "To find hard core trickery look to the court of the sun."

I have come across a few issues with some of the not so nice ones but since I was a child I have always had a relationship with the Fae. I won't lie and say it is easy and it is all sunny and happy times. It is hard and very demanding. I don't normally work with the Irish "Courts" but the Welsh and the Fae of Annwn. And yes some that they call the Twylyth Teg not to be in any affiliation with Y Twylyth Teg -that Wiccan group LOL.

Oh yes!! TJ, the cute one. Welcome!!!!I will make sure I friend you.

he he ::blush::

I've had dealings with the Twylyth. It turned out not well for me. I figured actually being Welsh would help. Um, no.

I've always been drawn to the Tuatha de' Dannan, and one of my patrons is the Morrigan. Having that kind of connection kinda makes me more comfortable working with them in the Court context.
