So I only just found out they're actually making a Dragonball live action movie.
("By the director of Final Destination 3" *bursts out laughing*)

...And then I discovered that James "Spike" Marsters is Piccolo.
He's going to be green. Possibly with pointy ears too.

And now I can't stop laughing.

The pics I've seen of the Dragonball live action movie are... interesting. I don't know if they're still up or if they've been taken down by now, but... yeah. I kind of found Piccolo to be unrecognizable, but I think the pic I saw was pre-special effects.

I realize that with how toned down the Goku-hair is I'm not expecting them to have Piccolo look like the green, pointy-eared insectoid alien in an Arab outfit he is in the manga/anime.
But some things they have to retain...and that's enough to amuse me immensely.

The pic I saw was... kind of closer to the Buffy vampires, with forehead bulgy things and so forth. Possibly pointy ears. It didn't look very green to me, but when I googled for the images, I found pictures that looked close to what I saw that showed him with the turban and the bright green skin. So... I have no idea!

I also saw some quote where James Marsters was comparing Piccolo's character arc to Shakespearean tragedy.
