Figures the weekend I thought I'd go purchase plants (I was going to buy strawberries, man) and get my balcony planter boxes all set up we get a cold front. Much too cold for planting now, so my chili, rosemary and spring onion seedlings will have to remain indoors for a bit longer ( Read more... )

We face similar problems here. Last year I had to bring a bunch of plants back inside after setting them out too early. I'm hesitant to plant anything outside until May 1st, minimum.

Meanwhile, though, I'm enjoying nursing various plants to larger and larger size in preparation for moving them outdoors. I've gone from a bunch of cuttings in water to almost enough plants to fill a 2-foot long box. Yay!
