Today began her barage of tests. First a breatihing test, which doesn't sound to bad. Then a bone marrow test. OUCH. Then they injeted her with a radioactive isotope. Which made her feel very sick. Honestly, the tests are worse than the disease. Plus, they screwed up on the radiation test, so she has to take it again tomorrow. Which is great ( Read more... )

She told me about it on the phone last night, and I could tell how exhausted she was. I was aggravated that they did that to her. Anyway, I can understand why she would get upset about it. As much as she's had to go through, that wasn't right. She said she would call me some time today, if she gets an opportunity to. Hopefully she will get some rest after these tests are over with. She really does need a hug, but like you said, she doesn't want anyone to be there because she's too exhausted. I am going to try to keep her smiling when I talk to her later.

DANG! I mean, dang. Hospitals are sooo incompetant. People are still praying for her. I knew I should have called last night.
We were all gonna go visit her this Saturday, but maybe that's not the brightest idea anymore. Idk. Let me know.

James Spangler here...

Ms. Wilson told me about this... wow. Maranda was one of the first friends I had at Model, her and Lehua and Himella... and now I find out she has cancer... I can't find the words for how horrible that is.
I hope Maranda's okay... I haven't seen her more than once in the last two years, but I still don't want anything bad to happen to her...

Maranda called me last night after 7 PM. She wasn't having a good day, but I let her know that I'll be beside her through this. She's a strong person with many people that love her and care about her. She also has a lot of faith in God, and I believe that God will take this cancer away. So many people are praying for her, and keeping her in their thoughts. I promised her that I would stand by her through all of this...and I fully intend to keep that promise.
