So I know this post is old, but I just gotta say that I understand the idea of dropping a major for the sake of your sanity. I understand wanting to be done and not wanting to hate yourself and your major by the end of the education process. I think it's a good decision, and I hope you're content with it, pleased even. *hugs*
At least you're able to turn English into a minor. My school doesn't even offer a concentration in Japanese/Asian Studies; I had to give it up entirely. xP
