WRITTENI have noticed there are a lot of people here. Did everyone here show up or is that unusual? Most people here are very tall so I thought maybe that is how it's supposed to be for the ones that already live here. But maybe it is just a coincidence, many people have round ears here too. It's really interesting to see how different everyone is ( Read more... )

[Neighbours - Robert is very unused to the concept, because when he moved into Community Building Three about four months ago, it was a fairly empty building. Now suddenly he has two neighbours on his floor, again, and social anxiety is driving him to avoid the kitchens most of the time.

Still, occasionally his own ad-hoc kitchen doesn't do the job, and he still has his cleaning drive. So if Link wanders down to the first floor's kitchen - and it'd be one of the busier ones in Community Building 3 - he might find a certain scientist there, cleaning it obsessively in between perusing a recipe he'd entered on his nanocomputer.]

[Oh hey Robert, you look like an interesting fellow to observe today. Link is good at being stealthy and he puts that to use now, quietly watching Robert obsessively clean from behind a counter and judging how approachable he is.]

[Robert is fairly observant, but when you're as stealthy and small as Link here, one doesn't notice you right away. Even with a ninja as a boyfriend, Robert's still not used to people sneaking up on him. That, and this counter is particularly dirty - stupid stubborn food stain - so Robert's attention is very focused on it.

From his vantage point, Link will notice Robert's small, round Homo sapiens sapiens ears.

Eventually, though, the social awkwardness of perceiving somebody staring at him makes him glance up from the counter. It's a toss-up as to whether he actually will notice Link, but he does speak up nervously.]

... S-Salutations...?

[Dammit. He has to assume he's been spotted, so he emerges from his observance hidey-spot and waves disarmingly, a little worried he's freaked the poor guy out judging by his nervous response.]

[Nah, Robert's just a nervous wreck. And socially anxious.

His gaze sweeps over the little boy clad in green at his feet.] Ah...

... W-Was I in the way, perhaps? Or, can I... b-be of assistance? [He's less nervous around a little kid, but still anxious.]
