He bit his lower lip in concentration, narrowing his eyes as he tried to hold onto the match without burning his fingers. His fingertips were tingling from the heat of the small flame. Picking up a new match, Gikwang took a deep sigh. Lightning candles really wasn't his thing.
Concentrating again, he felt someone blowing at his ear. He flinched away, pushing at Hyunseung with his elbow. “Don't...” he mumbled. “I'll burn my fingers.”
Hyunseung laughed, wrapping his arms around Gikwang's waist. “Am I distracting you again?” he whispered in Gikwang's ear.
“What are you...just, don't do anything stupid, okay?” Gikwang replied. The only response he got was Hyunseung softly swaying them from side to side. Feeling Hyunseung's lips press against his neck, Gikwang felt his eyes close. It was right then that he burned his fingers. He let out a yelp and quickly blew out the fire.
He was pulled over to the sink by Hyunseung, who turned on the water while chanting “I'm sorry” over and over again.
When Hyunseung was sure Gikwang was fine, he started glaring at the candles.
“What are you doing?” Gikwang asked.
Hyunseung pouted. “Those candles hurt you. They ruined everything.”
Gikwang chuckled, leaning against Hyunseung. Sighing in content, Gikwang closed his eyes. “I like this.”
“You like burning your fingers?” Hyunseung asked, resting his head on top of Gikwang's.
“No. Of course not, that hurts. No, I like us being alone, without the others bothering us.”
Hyunseung kissed the top of Gikwang's head. “Yeah, I like that too. It's been a while.”
“We should do it more often. Minus the burning of fingers.”
Hyunseung pulled Gikwang in for a hug, before moving away. “Let's just go and watch a movie. We won't hurt ourselves with that.” Walking towards the candles, he blew them out. “Stupid candles.”
