I actually really enjoy reading Shakespeare and analyzing text. I downloaded a Shakespeare app for my iPhone so I can read them whenever I want

You should go for the psych degree and then do a grad program in like criminal psychology! Then, you could study at the body farm and eventually be a criminal investigator! Or a profiler, or something interesting like that! Yeah, I could see you doing that!

booga...
i've been in school (read: COLLEGE) for 13 years...with no degree.
it'll be a few more before i get the degree...

i'm not one to want MORE school...after getting a degree that means nothing anyway...

wow i just summed up my pathetic life in this reply...
i have no where to go but school until i die!

sad............

you and everyone else did it right. you did 4 years...with a good degree....etc etc...
god i suck...
i just picked the wrong school. i should have gone to the one with dorms and not the 45+ min commute via public transit...

If you think the degree is going to be worthless, why are you still putting yourself through all this? Save your time and your money and just get out.
I think it would be worthwhile to think about what you want to do here, career-wise. I remember you talking about wanting a job in the morgue. You could take the money you're spending now and go get an associates in medical related field and probably easily get a job in the morgue. And there are tons of online classes and accredited online schools now, so you could even do the classes at night on the internet, still work your full-time job and be done in 1-2 years (with all the credits you have in social sciences and English, you could probably shave off a few classes).
And if you don't want more school and you see no use for the degree you're currently working toward, just get out. Why put yourself through any more?

i think it's more of a past the point of no return.
and well it's my parents who are paying for it mostly. they want nothing more than for me to get a piece of paper that said i took a whole bunch or worthless classes that mean nothing later in life.
they put in the money so i should at least stick with it and get them their paper.

You're getting more and more done, doing it well too. Don't despair! As for what major... I dunno. Psych. may have less reading of old stuff.

perhaps you can look into transferring to a different school with a program that covers more of what you enjoy?

with english and psych you can do well in marketing, if you build your degree that way. you'll want to take more [creative] writing classes. or you could look into editing, if you don't want to write.

journalism isn't for me...
involves too much talking to people
i've tried it...hated it.
