Snake oil is way too sweet on me. I like it but can't wear it because it is just too too. And mine was aged well, I swapped it. I also swapped away the similarly legendary bottles of O and Dorian. Sometimes the legendary stuff that is great on others doesn't work on me.
I bet you would like Philosopher in Meditation and also Morocco. God I wish we lived closer so we could do a meet and sniff.
I can do certain types of sweet. This is not one of them. I don't think it's the vanilla, as I have other blends that contain vanilla notes and work just fine. Whatever it is, it makes Snake Oil smell like baby powder sprinkled over an ashtray on my skin.
I have tried Morocco, and did not care for it; too much cinnamon. Silk Road was OK, but again had more cinnamon to it than I cared for. Either that, or my skin just amps cinnamon the same way it amps rose notes. Have yet to try Cairo, or Scherezade, but I suspect I will have similar results as cinnamon seems to be a common note in all the Middle Eastern themed oils.
