I've never been able to make dumplings without making them a gross goey mess either. Bah.

That's the most frustrating thing about this. I have (literally) tasted success before, I just can't seem to recreate it.

If I do find the other recipe, and prove that the fluffy dumplings were not a fluke, I will post it online with step-by-step instructions.

See, that's just what I did, and while they did puff up, they still came out too thick and chewy. I think I did something wrong in the actual making of the dough, worked it too much or somesuch.

The baking powder is brand new, so I'm pretty sure I just screwed up the actual mixing of it. Dumplings are an art form. I'll get it right eventually.

Doesn't AB have something to say about Chicken and Dumplings? There should be a chart, a cheeky example, and something made to perfection.
