[BPAL] Vasilissa

Whee! I ordered imps of some of the new "Vasilissa the Beautiful" line, and they arrived today. Have sniffed them all, and they smell fantastic. To start with, here's a review of Vasilissa.

The Lab says: "Creamy skin musk and blushing pink musk with soft sandalwood, white amber, dutiful myrrh, and star jasmine."

In the bottle: A sweet, powdery amber, quite similar to Bastet.

Wet on skin: Again, very similar to Bastet. Amber is the strongest note, but the musk is there beneath, along with a faint hint of jasmine.

Drydown: Amber and musk are still the main notes, but now the sandalwood and myrrh are coming out to play. I can smell the jasmine more now. Combined with the resins, it reminds me of a softer version of Uruk, which is a personal favorite of mine.

Dry: Amber, soft and somewhat powdery, along with jasmine and sandalwood. It's a very fresh scent, feminine without being girlie, and sweet without being cloying.

Overall: I really like this one. Don't know if I'll get a full 5ml, as I just don't wear sweet scents all that often, but the imp is definitely one for the keep pile.
